Twenty H made the trip to Spartanburg South Carolina this weekend for the ABA east coast Nationals. It was the debut race for new team members Cheyenne Aljier and Brandon Murphy along with Taylor Lance who was added Saturday morning. It was a good weekend for the team with almost everyone making their mains. Taylor and Brandon were the standouts. Unfortunately rain caused some of the old guys to pull out for Sundays race so our team sheet scores weren't that great. All in all a good weekend for the team though. See everyone in ATL.

News from the USAC Championship

Props go out to our very own Team Moto Filler Teammate, Stuart Harrison, for qualifying to represent the United States BMX team in the 30 + Men’s Challenge class at the World BMX Championships in Taiyuan, China, May 27 thru June 1, 2008. 

Unlike years past, the only way to qualify for the team that will represent the USA this year had to race there way on to it at the USA Cycling (USAC) National Championship held in Desoto, Texas last Saturday, March 29, 2008.  The top eight riders making the main at the US Championships automatically qualified to represent the USA at the World Championships, riders who made the main at this summers past World championship in Canada rounded out the qualified riders.  If any spots were still available up to 16 riders, then a rider could petition USA Cycling for a roster spot.

Stuart went on to finish 8th in the main but that was good enough, and remember at the USAC you race age class only against experts, novice, intermediate, etc…  At this time it is unclear if the domestic sanctions of the ABA and NBL will recognize the numbers earned by riders at the Championship as it was a USAC sanctioned event, but look for Stuart to be sporting # US 8 when the opportunity arises and that number is automatically reserved for him at next years USAC Championships.

Unfortunately, Stuart will not be making the trip to China.  With the Olympics in August the international schedule has been moved up this year and the Worlds are being help at least 6 weeks earlier than normal and there is not enough time to plan the trip, for someone who was not already planning on going.

Morristown race report

We had even fewer riders make it to Morristown than we did to Dothan. I'm going to have to have a talk with my NBL team! Grant green once again made both his mains, i'm telling you he will be expert soon so watch out. Bill made his main on Saturday and took pictures on Sunday. Morgan managed to make his mains but just wasn't riding the way he did in Dothan. Ashton raced his first Expert race on Saturday and got smoked... Sunday he woke up without the butterflies from the new class and managed a 5th in his main. I'm proud of you man! OUr next race will be the ABA Super nationals in texas for the TwentyH side of things.

Dothan race report

Yeah i know i'm real late. Lots of excuses but i save you the explanation. Dothan had a decent turnout and fairly good weather. Moto filler made a small showing but the few that made put on a good show. Ashton decided it was a good time to have the flu so he had to drop out for both days. Morgan got a perfect on Saturday and the flu from his brother on Sunday. Bill made his main on Saturday. Grant showed everyone that he will be an expert soon by making his main on both days. Andrew Belsterling what can i say... He spends all his time in school and promoting shows and occasionally rides some street. He showed up and just couldn't hang with his new class but we still love him!

Oldsmar race report

Boy has it been awhile since i posted anything. If i'm not careful my team mates are going to kill me.
The last weekend in January was the inaugural race for the moto filler spin off team in the ABA. TwentyH/ Moto Filler/ Clayborn has been born and it was a good weekend. We traveled to Oldsmar Fl. for the Gator Nationals. All team members that were present made their mains both days. The team finished 4th as a team both days. The track was horrible but we were still able to have a good time and some great finishes. My thanks go out to the ABA and the Oldsmar crew for putting on a great race despite mother nature. I am looking forward to a great year with the ABA and our second team. Now off to Dothan for the NBL side of things.
